Wild rice is one of the healthiest grains there is, with plenty of fiber and protein and less starch than most grains.  We braise the wild rice in a wild mushroom and vegtable stock and then add in sauted chanterelle mushrooms and roasted celery root for a hearty and delicious side that works for many meals.  Goes great with fish, chicken, pork or beef.
